| VOC discovery arrangement
Hotel De Keizerskroon is the location to enjoy the large history of Hoorn. The Golden Age of the Dutch East India Company is still very visual in the inner city of Hoorn.
We offer an unique VOC-discovery combination (VOC means Dutch East India Company)
This three day arrangement takes you back to the days of the Dutch East India Company. These were the days when Hoorn was ahead of its time in the areas of culture, commerce and prosperity.
On the day of your arrival, you are welcomed by the enthusiastic team of restaurant “de Seven Steden” with a special cocktail. After which we will invite to our restaurant to our restaurant for a delicious three-course dinner.
After a continental breakfast on the second day, you will be expected at 1100 hours behind the recently, completely renovated railway station where you will travel towards Medemblik using the old tram engine Bello. Here you will have one hour for sightseeing in this beautiful harbour town. After that you will go to Enkhuizen by boat for a visit to the Zuiderzee museum.
To complete your afternoon you will travel to Hoorn using the local train. This will take you thru the heart of West-Friesland.
That evening you will experience a marvellous four-course dinner.
The final day of your visit to Hoorn you will have the opportunity to see the sights in Hoorn. There is a possibility to hire a guide who will tell more of the history of Hoorn.
You will return home more than satisfied.
